Can this be Europe? Ukraine’s Capitol City is Preparing to Murder Thousands of Stray Dogs!



On April 8th 2009 in a closed session of the Kyiv city council officials will discuss the euthanizing of the city’s 30,000 stray animal in preparation for the soccer championship Euro 2012. Not only will no single animal rights group be invited to this session, but the press will also receive no invitation.



On April 22nd 2009 the Kyiv city council will hold public hearings with the following agenda:

1. Euthanizing stray animals and purchase of the necessary drugs.

2. Animal attacks, too many stray animals on the streets that interfere with “normal human lives”.

3. The city sterilization program is not working and there are no funds to support the program.



This is an outrage for a former “no-kill” city! We need your help to distribute this information and help launch an international protest against animal cruelty! There will be no truth said during these hearings! The corrupt municipal government has stolen the money intended for animal sterilization and now wants a quick and simple solution to hide its crime and rid the city of the tens of thousands of stray dogs. The city has already begun illegal poisoning of animals and there is no way to stop them unless we all unite and make ourselves heard!



For once in our lives let us stand our ground firmly for what we believe in! Let us stand for what is just! We have fought day and night for the very souls of these animals, devoted ourselves to this cause in hopes for a better future for them! We love them all and we want to give them a chance to love us. Please do not stand by! Please help us any way you can! Let’s make ourselves heard! Do not let 30,000 dogs die in silence!!!
